WHAT IS ALEX

So I have 110k subscribers. Over 500 uploads. And only managed to make £27.85 from my entire life’s work on YouTube these past couple months. It barely reaches the minimum every year.

The system is broken.

No wonder I’m so exhausted.

This sort of stuff makes you question your entire existence when people make 20k off of reaction videos and my music can’t even qualify by not reaching the minimum threshold.

Feel super demotivated.

Is my music worthless? It feels that way at times.

The ‘return’ part of this is discouraging. And the fact that you cant interact personally with your fans who would tell you that your music changed their life or that they have an entire Alex playlist on their phone. Or that they connect on a level with one of your songs that they cant possibly communicate it on an app. All of those things are happening bro. More than you realize or understand. It is worth it man. Do it for us

It's not worthless, definitely not. It's just that the system doesn't value good stuff. Unfortunately, there are many historical examples of artists in many segments that made a huge impact, but were not recognized in their time. But hey, we're here for you, mate.

Im not sure if you have already, but you should try getting your music out there. Get in contact with developers, other artists, creators (especially on TikTok). There is so much great music out there and more people have infinite access to producer tools to make their own it almost feels impossible to stand out. Thats why you have to push it out there as much as you can. Sometimes it is a numbers/luck game and it sucks but just know you have fans that genuinely love your music which is already a lot of impact.

Break the algorithm by reacting to your own videos! Try to stay positive, mate. Most likely thousands of talented creators in the same position. It's all just a bit shite.

I don't know if you do that mistake but you shouldn't notify your subs of your new musics => when you are in the case of having a lot of subscribers but low view people who get the notification currently are ignoring it and so the youtube algorythme won't be in your favor from the start. It seams counter productive but it's how it is.

I’m not familiar with the rest of your social media profile..just YT but patreon might be a good idea..you can charge a monthly fee depending on what tier system you use and you can interact directly with fans..just an idea…still baffles my mind someone with your abilities can’t find a bigger audience…good look brother.

@manny27392

you should diversify into making live review of techno albums that defined the genre starting from the earliest up to today and “introduction” videos to subgenres like DXMTHL does.
