Today in our Sunrise Circle I shared the medicine of the Heron and I would love to share a little of her medicine here with you.
“The Grace of Beginning” 🌿
There is a sacredness to sunrise that cannot be hurried. It teaches us that nothing in nature rushes and yet everything unfolds. The Heron, quiet and steady, carries the medicine of intentional beginnings. She reminds us that the way we enter the day shapes the way the day enters us.
When the world feels loud, she steps slowly.
When the waters ripple, she waits.
When the moment is right, she moves, with purpose, with clarity, with undeniable grace.
Today, she asks you to honor your own timing.
To let your heart set the pace.
To trust that your intuition knows the way before your mind does.
In Indigenous teachings, the Heron is often seen as the keeper of self-reliance and inner knowing. She teaches us to stand in our truth, even when the world pulls us in all directions. She teaches us that strength is quiet, grounded, and rooted in the breath.
You are part of this wisdom.
You belong to this Earth.
You carry the same stillness, the same grace, the same ability to rise at your own rhythm.
Today we learned that beginnings are not tasks — they are thresholds.
Cross them with tenderness.
Cross them with presence.
Cross them with love.
May this teaching stay alive in your heart as you walk softly upon the Earth. 🌙
