Hello Dr. Rosen. I’m on my 7 wks post op knee replacement. On 4th wk I developed rashes behind my leg, went to my Dr, was attended by PA nurse, gave me antihistamine taken 1 tab a day. Did not work and a week after, rashes spread all around my thigh and leg, all along was so itchy and my knee and leg are swollen. 5th wk my 1st post op with my surgeon, rashes became worse, with skin marbling below my knee. Can’t rule out if it’s allergy or infection, gave me antibiotic for week and antihistamine. Until now, same scenario appears, there’s itchiness, swelling and darkening of my skin. I put triamcinolone after I visited my Dr, and gave me relief with itchiness, he said if it doesn’t improve he’ll refer me to allergy doctor. I’m confused and sad on what’s happening…. Please help, thank you so much, Doc. I wish I could get answers to my problem…
