I do miss the days where my rig with 6 3070ti’s was making $30-$40 a day mining ethereum. Good times

I've never made a dime in the past year of trying :) Timing is everything.

Of the 2 types of miners. Daily yield and daily profit. I’m a daily yield, sorry I just can’t get excited about making .33 cents an hour on an AI rig that costs $3000 to build, or even less mining crypto. I pay my electric out of pocket and hold everything and maybe one of the coins pumps at some point, I enjoy learning new ways to code, networking, OC, building rigs for touring, etc. as for asics, those are all on free power during my concerts so that’s just about having fun chasing new coins and trying to stream so content from it, I’m starting to enjoy making more videos lately. In my case, it really is more about the tech than the money only because I have a passion for learning. Probably not too many yield guys out there it seems.

If paying for your own power then yes I believe gpu mining is pretty much dead. I’m going back to college though and with free power I’m thinking about getting a couple of my old 3070tis and building a pc both to game with and do some altcoin mining on nice hash whenever I’m not using it. Maybe I’ll get a dollar a day in bitcoin? That’s fine with me. It’ll be worth a lot more in the future.
