Living beyond their means. I have friends who started off big with loans on house, sport cars, atv, all kinds of toys, just to go broke and have to downsize. My other friends who lived frugal right from the start now own everything and are doing the best.

Fear of risk/ failure is a big one. Those who live above their means already accepted they have failed so they have a whatever attitude / live their life knowing they will never get out of debt. And those who save and play it safe are the ones who lose out the most because of fear of risk/failure.

It's cool how the majority expose themselves by not knowing the main reason 😂

It is not rocket science to put $500 a month into the SPY until you retire. And gradually increase that as your raises increase. I think it’s education mainly and the education of the importance of time. Most (including me) don’t realize this until about sophomore year in finance class.

Living above their means fs. Bro said it best: "What gets measured gets managed." How do you expect to get yourself out of the hole if you keep digging yourself deeper and deeper?

Identify Federal land for affordable housing. Are you kidding? Who would find a job in the woods of Wyoming where the National Parks are?!?

I do not believe that you provide the answer. Look at what the poverty line is for a family of four. Those folks are living above their means

It’s obvious that people can’t get rich or growth wealth because of the society we live in. Wealth inequality is rampant, wages are low, costs are high, interest rates are up, we have a government that is deliberately implementing inflationary policies, etc You want to make a lot of money in this world? Better get lucky being born into a rich family.
