As an atheist who grew up Catholic, this man was the best pope in my lifetime thus far (John Paul II, Benedict, and Francis). While I’m still not convinced of the existence of god, I hope that the next pope does at least two things: call out all countries (regardless of nationality or religion) for their atrocities they commit and expose the pdfiles within the church.
