I move on with my day. Every subscription is budgeted for, so they’re not a surprise.

I like to renew my subscriptions then immediately cancel them. Then if after the month I decide I still want that streaming service I can renew for another month and cancel immediately after the renewal. Saves a lot.

My biggest financial f***up in the lay decade, I had several subscriptions that ran through my pay pal. It was running up a PayPal credit account I had forgotten about. 2200 dialed later it was maxed out and I had no idea it had happened. Just paid it off a month ago 🤦♂️ I felt so stupid. Stupid tax to the Nth degree

I make use of every subscription I have and budget for them. So, to me it’s never a surprise and I get full use out of them.

I think about whether it's still something I'll use and if so I renew it, otherwise not. I just renewed my subscription to a couple software development tools I don't use much at all now that I'm retired. But I still haven't totally let go. So I keep my development environment set up and active. Even if I never use those tools again they have paid for themselves so many times over that the cost of renewing them is trivial.

Subscriptions are a scam, so I don't do them anymore. It would be fine if subscriptions were limited to one thing, but we can't get everything from one place anymore. Especially when it comes to streaming services.

I have them all in a spreadsheet that I share with the finance lady (my wife) and we review it quarterly. Amazon just popped up, we knew already it was coming. We subscribe to IPTV, and we knew when that is being renewed. We review and discuss if we should look for something different. I do not "try" out stuff, I will read about it on the internet and Reddit, and soon I know how to safe money.

Check which subscription it is and why i have it. Otherwise I'd probably cancel. I'm pragmatic and a cheapskate
