We do it buffett style. Everyone lines up and goes down the line of dishes. Then we all sit down and enjoy our dinner together. We used to load up the dinner table, and everyone took turns serving what they wanted. It's very relaxing and casual.

First thing I'm going to do is make sure there's enough Jellied cranberry sauce on the table....I'll probably bring a can in my purse as backup. 😉😆

When we sit down to dinner I reach for nothing as I am full from tasting almost every thing to make sure it tastes delicious . My dinner the next day with the left overs is always the turkey with gravey.

Whatever is closest. They'll all get to me eventually and then I will eat after my plate is filled. But I would try to get the stuffing first if I could!

In my family we don't reach for anything. Its considered to be rude. We wait for the head of the table person, depends on who's house is holding it, to start passing the dishes. Usually it is the main dish (turkey or ham) that is served 1st. Then its passed to the right... everything is passed to the right. The last person served places it back in its spot on the table. So yeah my family is a bit formal when it comes to holiday meals, including the meal time; which normally 2p.
