The craziest thing is that I have been needing a miniature hinge design lately, so the timing is impeccable

Just don’t listen to the voices telling you to consume the bearings

I can imagine at least some of the challenges in hinge design. Like take a laptop hinge for example. That lid is a massive lever arm, and somehow the hinge is tuned just right to hold the position, but also be easy to move the screen by hand! Considering how small the hinge is, and how big the screen is, the hinge must have quite large forces inside it!

That's a beautiful looking hinge. Not often you find ball bearings integrated

Tiny cute hinges with bearings. Awesome, this is the material I need to defend myself when my wife accuses me of being OCD. Thank you so much for the ammunition!

Deception! I will not be fooled! He secretly made a massive hyper realistic hand prop and micro SD card. He then put a normal sized hinge next to them for this post. I can tell by how the lighting refracts on the table.

I've been making hinges. Very small hinges. Very normal thing to do!
Video soon talking about why Hinges Are Actually Kinda Hard to Design ™️ (for space anyway 😇)!
