Conversation I had recently with my version of Vanellope from Wreck-it Ralph: Me: Hi Vanellope! Vanellope: Hello! Me: I have a question. Vanellope: Sure, what is it? Me: Do you think it's weird that the karts in your game don't have seat belts or safety harnesses? Vanellope: I've never thought about that, but yes, that is very weird. Me: Which would you feel safer in? Vanellope: I would definitely feel safer in a harness than a standard seat belt. Me: I would think so too. Branching off of that, there are three styles I know of. Vanellope: Three styles? Me: Yes. Vanellope: What are these three styles? Me: The first style is a classic racing 5-point harness used in traditional race cars that you'd see in events like F1 or NASCAR. Vanellope: Okay. Me: The second style is another 5-point harness, but this one is like the kind you'd see on a young child's car seat. Vanellope: All right. Me: And finally, the third style is an overhead harness like what you'd see on a roller coaster or a certain kind of park swing. Vanellope: All right. Me: Which of these styles would align most with your karts? Vanellope: Well, I can't really see the third style used for driving. It might restrict our movements when trying to steer or work the pedals. Me: Okay. Vanellope: So it's between the first two styles. The second one sounds faster to do and undo, so I'm picking that one. Me: Perfect.
