I would have gone Wizard/Sorcerer/Warlock - Dice Tower Ranger/Fighter - Dice Tray Paladin/Cleric - Mat Barbarian - Table Other: Artificer - Digital/Software/App Dice Druid - Ground Monk - Catches dice by the back of their hand. Bard - The paper they used to draw on as they wait for their turn. Rogue - "Critical Hit! You have to take my word for it. It's not my fault you missed me rolling."

We used to play "roll on the table" in Warhammer. If your dice fall off the table, it's an instant fail for that roll. The idea is, if you can't even hit the table, what chance do your troops have hitting the enemy. 😊

Dice trays roll best, but sometimes you just have to let your dice roll free

I bring a dice tray and two dice towers for my players and those uncivilized monsters roll onto the map, straight between the minis. I swear to God...

40% barbarian and 60% efficient.... That's the best way to win in every session.

I shake my hands and let go. Where they fall isn’t up to me, it’s up to the gods. 💞

I'm a weird gremlin DM who has filled his dice tray with too much extemporaneous trash for it to be a suitable rolling surface, so I just roll directly onto the page of my sketchbook that's currently being used as an initiative and enemy HP tracker. But for D R A M A T I C A L L Y I M P O R T A N T rolls, I have the mini Box of Doom dice tower.

Nothing beats the clatter of dice on a table. It is what I grew up with and I will always use. using mats, trays and towers just doesn't sound right. obviously if you are using metal or stone dice, table is not ideal, but honestly it is best to use the cheap plastic dice anyway. They give the classic feel I had playing the game back in the early 90s. I even have my original set of dice.

I roll onto my character sheet, so not quite table, but not a proper mat either.

Back when I started, we didn't have dice towers or mats. If you where an extreme nerds nerd you might have a cup that definitely wasn't designed for any TTRPG.

The rumble of dice on a dining room table is just the sound of my mini barbs mini footsteps running to kick something, that desperately needs it, in the head. Stay on the little carpeted area? No! Await you in a tiny box? NAY! AMBUSH YOU BY LEAPING FROM THE TOP OF A TOWER!?! okay... you might convince us of THAT one... BUT THE REST OF THE TIME, buck nekkid in nature. cheeks right up on the ground. Dice on table... Barbie dolls for life.

I just took a shoe box and rolled in that so it wouldn’t fall off the table 😂
