Miss my Caddy so much. It was my most Lego'd car: Mk1 GTI steering wheel and front fender flares, Cabby dash and lower gauge pod, MK1 Jetta GLI door cards and rear fender flares, Scirocco 16V lower K-bar, front brakes, and mono wiper, Corrado seats, Euro GTI header, grill & headlights, etc. etc. So much fun assembling stuff from the VW parts bin 😁 Congrats on finding one that's more steel than rust

I had the 07k in my Jetta and a Rabbit. The smoothest engine I have ever owned, and I'm a Toyota guy. Awesome to see it in this truck.

My neighbor had a Caddy back in the mid 2000s before I moved away. It was just a bare chassis that he was in the process of rebuilding, but he had chopped it with a Golf coupe to make an “extended cab” style truck. Wish I would have gotten a picture of it.

Saw this right after Freiburger's post celebrating 500k subs with a Cadillac 500. It took me way too long to realize the Humble Mechanic had not gotten an old flower car.

Gear up for this one! A few weeks back, I bought a Caddy truck, flew to SLC with IE, 2.5 swapped it in 3 days, then immediately drove it 1,100 miles.
Might have even struggled more than on the scirocco. 🤣
Should have the full, one part video out Wednesday. SEMA timing has me behind.
I’ve wanted one of these trucks forever. So this is pretty special.
