Maria Clara, too??? I'm so excited for that! I haven't been able to spare the time to watch the show so I haven't seen any costumes except for the one my sister sent me from her friend who was an extra in it. The tapis and saya didn't look like natural materials.... But the jewelry looked good? Maybe it's more like Bridgerton in that it's fantasy!period. 😅 Gino Gonzales and Mark Lewis Higgins are two that might know about the period but I'm not sure how to approach them about this. I meannn they could have been consultants but it's also possible they haven't seen the show! They released a book called "Fashionable Filipinas: An Evolution of the Philippine National Dress in Photographs 1860-1960

For 14th century Scandinavia there is a wonderful costuber — Elin Abrahamsson you should connect with/ reach out to. She does extensive research and has handsewn many historical Scandinavian clothes.

Love the diversity! I hope next year we can get an Indigenous film/costume perspective added. Prey would have been great this year for 18th century Comanche dress (there was a lot of different styles in the community scenes). Excited for this 💚

I hope you will talk about 1899! Probably not entirely historically accurate, but the show is wonderful, and it would help the international cast/ filmmakers to get some attention ^^

For China, the non-binary author and youtuber Xiran Jay Zhao would be a great expert. They have extensive knowledge about chinese clothing, especially because they actually grew up in China, as far as I know.

I'm looking forward to this. It is a lot of work to organise so many people to participate in a video. Good luck with the project!

So excited to see Apteeker Melchior here! I will try my best to think of someone to refer it to as an Estonian dress history enthusiast (unfortunately not well enough versed myself about our local clothes).

Ooh! I’m excited to see Royal Feast on the list. I’ve just gotten into the genre and loved it. For Prey, it might be possible to get someone who worked on the film. They have been doing a lot of YouTube spots.

Would it be ok to repost this information on one of my groups? I've been part of the SCA for some years now, and there are several well versed folks on those groups

Brb, forwarding this to the entire Estonian Middle Earth society. And the medieval re-enactors. And my local theatre department. (This country is so small I will likely hit the costume consultant for the film itself by accident.)

But... but what about The Northman? It had some of the most gorgeous and historically accurate early medieval/viking age costumes we've seen so far...

Please Review Outlander! Both Outlander S 4’s Cherokee and Mohawk villages. Also would love the review on the other period garments from the clans and so on.

I just finished watching the 2020 video and have the 2021 video queued up (recent subscriber and I love your content!). I do have a question in regards to makeup (not hair I agree about the ridiculous modern hair in period pieces) but when it comes to makeup, could some makeup be a choice for lighting and filming and less about historical accuracy?
