I wonder if the First Sinner love comes from the fact that most people tend to do it roughly or even directly after Bilewater. So after the torture of cheap hazards, egregious backtracks, and annoying gauntlets, you get the final key at the end, go to the Slab and get to fight a boss that’s fast paced, well designed, uses what was already one of the best music tracks in the game, puts you right outside the arena when you die, and feels incredibly fair and balanced. It’s a breath of fresh air at a time when most people desperately need one

May be a hot take, but Nyleth. I love the gimmick of a boss without a floor, and weaving around her attacks and striking with Rune Rage felt so good.

I admire the way First Sinner makes you think outside the box. Respawning outside her chamber incentivizes you not to rely on Tools, and her constant teleporting presents a unique challenge to keep her within striking distance. Paired with fast-moving needle arrays and melee attacks, I found Sinner to be an all around solid fight.
