Last year I quit my job with no backup plan. I knew that where I was wasn’t going to be my life long-term. It was terrifying. It was a massive financial risk and I didn’t even have a clear path forward.
But you showed up for me. You actually watched and listened and cared. So because of you I have been able to build a business and financially support myself for over a full year solely off yapping about my creative passions. That is a gift that I can’t even begin to describe in words.
I always say art shapes culture. Culture shapes people. And people shape the world. I’m honored to have my small little corner of the internet who believes that and wants to contribute to the way art is shaping culture along side me.
One thing I’ve really learned this year is you will NEVER regret taking a chance on yourself. Even at the lowest points, losing some important relationships to me, and even those ramen noodle months where I was stressed about rent. I never regretted taking a chance on myself— not even once
