I struggle too. Even now end of March I'm watching the nettles in anticipation of that special time when they are full of bugs and spiders. To be honest I do mostly landscape and street photography until the creatures appear.

I simply go out and try to just enjoy my walk with no real ideas in mind. I always find things when im not looking for them. When I do look for subjects, I try to look for interesting textures or shapes.

Frost, frozen water droplets when possible, rustic leaves, interesting parts of fallen/standing trees etc,if you keep your mind clear and 👀 open sometimes compositions will catch them

Jamie, when I’m having trouble finding subjects to photograph, especially at this time of year, I go into 'lichen mode' and always find some treasures to shoot. 👋

Usually our Spring is very wet from all the snow over Winter. Unfortunately we have been having less and less snow and right now it's just bone dry outside. Do you think there's still something out there to find? I've traded in my Canon gear to go back to Olympus/OM this week and I still haven't gotten out to shoot. But I really want to get out there. I'd love this video right about now! xD
