As a white belt that really wants to improve my stand up game, what are the biggest principles / techniques you'd like to see white belts learn early on.

Principles of controlling a limb—how to control them while you attack a armbar, leg lock, etc. And how to transition from upper body subs, to lower body subs, to back takes, or in whatever order.

What is are some fundamental concepts (like understanding inside position) that you wouldn’t expect a white belt to know? Maybe something you’d expect them to learn a lot later.

As a dedicated white belt hobbyist, how often do you recommend competing? I’m looking to build experience without burning out. Also, with a competition coming up, how should I train during the week leading up to it? Any tips for peaking while avoiding overtraining?

Usually defense is the first recommendation when it comes to starting out. What guards and attacks would you recommend a white belt to start their arsenal?

Should a white belt be focusing on submission chains? Etc. Arm bar, triangle choke, and omoplata as a sequence if one becomes unsuccessful then venture to the next link

What should i do to improve endurance for bjj competition rounds? Do i run, do assault bike, swim laps, and how often should i do endurance work outside of bjj training?

Hey Josh, how often should we train stand up/wrestling if we're already doing BJJ 5+ days a week as serious white belt hobbyists? Our gym has wrestling classes, but they're so intense that they affect our recovery for Jiu-Jitsu. Any advice?

Why is the BJJ community so divided on how the class structure operates, which doesn’t seem to be the case in Judo and wrestling gyms (which I have a lot more experience in). Thank you.
