I wanted to do an experiment with tower revamps (including upcoming ones) and their old versions, basically I wanted to see if they truly blended in or not, I used a grayscale effect to help make it easier to notice differences and similarities on image 3-4. And in a way I was surprised by the results, the revamps seem to blend in with each other by a decent amount compared to their old versions.
This mainly comes down to a factor called “Gameplay Structure” ,,, the best way to describe it is how certain parts/sections are placed in the tower (or another way to compare it is like the architecture of the tower)
In no way are most of the old versions better than the revamps, BUT the revamps are lacking in terms of uniqueness, or anything that sets them apart. Even though most of these revamps are by the same creator, older towers by the same creators were pretty distinct (for example ToI, ToOH (old), and ToFT (old) are all pretty distinct in terms of their gameplay structure)
This could become an issue depending on how much this is done.
