@flightdeck2sim

Hi all. I have since learnt about the MD11F accident which happened last night. My 737 failure streams are not related nor make comparisons to previous accidents. The effects used in the thumbnail are the exact same visual effects used during my previous failure streams. For those of you who are new to the channel, this pre-planned stream is a continuation of my existing series which has been requested by subscribers several times over the last few weeks. I have, however, decided to postpone the next episode of our 737 failure series until Friday. As most of you know, my 737 failure streams have always been a popular series, but it was the wrong decision to have the next episode on the same day as the MD11F accident in Kentucky. Thank you both for your feedback and understanding.

@Gav_Kam

For those scared to fly, for those who will have seen the terrible MD11 accident these streams are extremely reassuring. To hear a real life airline captain explain it is helpful. More so at times of high anxiety no doubt caused by the awful scenes yesterday. Do not feel bad, you're helping people more than you realise by doing this. Edit* I should add, there have been other view hungry pilots who've jumped on it to make money. That sets your streams apart, done with professionalism and care.

@TheReiper64

Why the criticism? He already said it was a coincidence plus even if it wasn’t, he’s an irl pilot practicing/showing what to do in case other pilots find themselves in a similar scenario which is what every pilot should be doing rn imo.

PSA: if you’re outraged by this post, you will be made fun of.

Unluckily timing 😅

There is a lot of virtue signaling right now in these comments. Let’s take what the captain has posted at face value please and not try to find a reason to be upset. There are plenty of valid reasons to be angry and this ain’t one of them.

Long time subscriber here 🙋‍♂️. Just want to say for those who have a brain know you mean no harm with this series. As a flight simmer, I have been following these failure live streams for a long time. It is very educational, and adds immersion to the sim. Keep continuing what you are doing @flightdeck2sim. Safe travels ✌

Don’t worry about fake political correctness— there are those “covering” this news event to drive views to their channels. Then there those “outraged” by your stream who will probably not pay 1c to alleviate the suffering of those impacted by this tragedy, but feel good by bashing you. There is an Aesop fable about listening to foolish people like that ( boy father and donkey ). What you do is educational , entertaining and not to be confused or conflated with anything else. Keep it up!!

May I echo what @flightdeck2sim says, Its been delayed out of sympothy to anyone who had been affected by the events in Kentucky. As a long time member of this channel, all aspects of the channel are for virtual flightsimmer. As desktop simming is popular we are always wanting to raplacte real world ops. This is the reality of how complex trhese machines are and why @flightdeck2sim shares how the training is so complex to ensure we minimise the accident as best as we can.
