I really like your alteration videos too. It's fun to see what kind of work comes through a real tailoring shop, and I appreciate your generosity in showing us how you alter and fix things, especially the more complicated things like that shoulder on the suit jacket - that was awesome. I also enjoy the videos you make about processes and organization and machinery in your shop. Neat to see industrial machines!

I want to learn more of what you have to teach about sewing to expand my knowledge. I need more understanding. Like things we should do and things we shouldn't do in sewing and why and how it could affect the way our garment turns out in the end when we are creating and altering. I LOVE YOUR HELPFUL TUTORIAL It has help me in many ways i am full of confident because of your teaching and i was able achieve something. I am greatful. I thank God for people like you helping us to grow. God bless you

I love the alteration vids! Got hooked on the one about jeans trousers. Would like one on ladies’ t-shirts and sweaters. Oh and maybe a little how-to on everyday sewing machine maintenance? Also i’d like to add, i absolutely love the way you talk while working. You have a pleasant voice, you speak very clearly and at a good pace. Quite soothing! And you’re funny too. I could be your grandma but I totally enjoy being your student.

Loved the jacket shoulder alteration video! I took notes and was transfixed. I’m petite and rarely see tutorials for 5 ft folks. Please consider a few more of those types of videos. I’ll be watching either way!

Sew Show with Shae
Hey everyone!
You may have noticed that over the past few weeks we've been trying some new things and changing up the channel in a few ways, most notably the name! Tallgrass Tailor is our tailor shop in Tulsa, OK, and me, my husband Garrison, and Bobby (the guy shooting and editing the videos) started making videos to help teach our contractors how to do specific alterations in a way that was easy to digest and reference. Fast forward several years, and we're of course still making alterations videos, but there's just so much more to the world of sewing that we want to explore and make content about! With that in mind, we realized that the shop and the channel had become two different things entirely, and we wanted to reflect that with a name change: The Sew Show With Shae!
Thanks to how much you've supported us over the last few months, we've been experimenting with ways to make our videos more entertaining AND more educational, but also more sustainable since the shop only gets busier and busier! Don't worry though, the big tutorials aren't going ANYWHERE, we just want to expand our horizons! (Did you catch our HOUR LONG Suit Jacket Shoulder video yet?)
SO we have a question: what kinds of sewing-related content would you be interested in seeing more of in the future? We'll be putting up more polls to help us find out what you like, but just for now, how long do you like the videos? Would you prefer more edited down versions of tutorials? Would you be interested in streaming content where we can work on a project together? What about videos focused on operating the shop? This channel is a collaboration with you, after all, so thank you for coming along as we continue to learn, grow, and explore the world of sewing and alterations!
