I love how they have laws, don’t enforce them, that threaten to ramp up fines for people who break them. Almost seems intentional

No sells of alcohol after midnight? They must want to run bars out of business. I'm not a big drinker, but that's a stupid law for a country that really needs tourists for their economy.

I am not a drinker but I will say that Australia brought in strict alcohol serving laws to reduce violent assaults in the early hours by drunken, mostly men, and opportunistic robberies on drunks. It reduced the crime rate considerably. However, the hoteliers and bar owners cried fowl and with the help of the Conservative LNP the laws were weakened again, and crime went up. Sadly, the majority of drinkers just have a good time, and that is spoiled by a minority of thugs and 2 pot screamers.

Thailand, the land that cannot stick to a decision for more than 3 months. They went to having a 24 hours entertainment district back to where they started. As reactionary as Japanese can be, they don't flip flop all the time. There must be major corruption going on to have a government that makes changes every 2 months.

What a joke (including the possible implementation of the 300THB tourist tax)! Worried about tourism? I know, Let’s make new laws that give tourists more reasons not to come and visit Thailand. 🤦♂
