IF I were to make a video about Season 2 of The Last of Us (emphasis on IF), would y'all rather I make it one long-ass video, or separate it into a series of shorter videos discussing each episode? I'm not sure what format it would take (again, IF I make it), and I may not go with whichever y'all prefer if I find another format that works, but I'm curious at this point to know what y'all would be most interested in. Thanks!

@ferret7studio

I thrive on long videos, they’re so awesome to help get me through my work day. Nothing like popping on a couple of video essays. It’s bliss 😊

@Primecassette

Well I have been watching you for a while and every video you made was amazing, nuanced, and always left me thinking afterwards. The way you break things down makes it feel both entertaining and insightful, so honestly, whatever format you choose for Season 2 will be great, I’ll definitely be watching.

@kat1652

may i suggest multiple long ass videos? HAHAHA i love your video essays so much!

@eric_boso_

I'd be cool with either, I'm especially curious what you have to say about the pacing. I believe if they had another episode or two, and/or dispersed the flashbacks more evenly instead of taking an entire episode, things would have been a lot less rushed. S2 sometimes felt like a Harry Potter movie trying to fit a year and a half worth of book plot into a 90 minute movie

@Braincleaner

I think a longer video would work better for S2, cos there was nothing wrong with individual eps, for me it was more of a butterfly effect, where seemingly minor changes in ep X changed how things play out in ep Y for example. Trying to cover that(if this is what the video/s are going to be about) would be much harder to do over several videos as you would need to keep calling back to other videos to make points in later videos... if ya get me. Hope you make the video, would enjoy seeing how you feel about the season looking back and not in an instant reaction :D

@MeganDeppe

Honestly I feel like you could do shorter videos on each episode, and probably shorter videos about overarching themes/issues/excellence in the season as a whole, but doing a long video might turn your eye towards other topics that you weren’t originally thinking (like how your video The Wolf and the Apostates originated as an Abby and Lev video), and that would be really cool too. Honestly I don’t think either option would upset anyone XD

I'd watch either, but I know I'd prefer one long video. It's nice to have everything in one place.

@averyistired._62_.

part of me wants to say one long ass video, but at the same time i also feel like each episode 'deserves' (i put it in quotation marks as both a good and bad thing) their own time to shine without you potentially being worried about which parts to particularly bring notice to, and others that just need a "heres this, this is why that worked really well, why that didnt work well and how it couldve worked," and then move on if that makes sense? i myself have wanted to make a video about season 2, but i always struggle finding how i want to approach it.

I would literally sell my soul for a 3 hour analysis from you about this season

@LilaFreakk

I think it might be needed as there is unfortunately a drought of thoughtful analysis for season 2 on YouTube and I think you would be a positive influence, but of course you should only do it if you want to and there is some enjoyment in it for you. So take all the time you need with it! I understand there's a lot of negativity attached to it and perhaps time is what's needed for not only you but other people in order to open themselves up to genuine reflection. It seems at least your audience is primed for it. But yeah honestly I understand prioritizing your peace. I'm happy to watch it if you ever finish it, but I'm also happy to watch anything you put out. I'm in the middle of finishing Clair Obscur (cuz of Neil then you reccing it) and hoping to play Lost Records: Bloom & Rage after so I could finally watch your latest vid.

@glargleteeth

Either one, you're the GOAT of TLOUII analysis so tbh I trust whatever you decide.

@kmaya1024

While I WANT a long ass video, I want YOU to get more engagement from a series of couple of idk 35-45 min videos

🫶 do whatever you want and I will definitely watch it! 🖤🖤

One Long video is with a shift of perspective

@top-notanalysis4942

Am down for either format, but considering how long ago the show came out, i think a better format would be something similar to Schnee; making multiple videos not necessarily on each episode, but on themes and analysis more broadly

@jayurgello8418

I’m selfish and I just want more than one video lol. I will watch 10 1 hour videos if it’s you who’s putting it out

@etcetera662

S2 was frankly heartbreaking all around and for all the wrong reasons... I don't blame you for being reluctant to make any videos about it. I'm sure you're aware that you'll probably receive some underserved hate for it. That being said, I will happily watch any TLoU videos you upload, I always love your takes. But I also understand if you're not ready.
