I don't really feel like Jubilee's 'Surrounded' really does anything that makes it hard for the person who is singled out. They are always just talking to one person. The only time the group gets some kind of advantage is when someone gets voted out mid-argument and someone else comes in to pick up the slack. The problem is with the "race to the chair" format of deciding who goes next, there is nothing that helps the group pick someone who actually knows a lot about that particular topic to be the one to debate. It really seems just like a clickbait format to me.

Chris Hansen vs 10 predators who still maintain they did nothing wrong (eg Sokol).

Outnumbered has a great opportunity to improve on Jubilee's format by putting in place more rules and safeguards against participants getting voted out too early, panelists simply lecturing at their interlocutor in bad faith, and creating a better system for selecting who gets a seat. Hopefully MDD has been reading through Jubilee's comments regarding how flawed the format is for Surrounded and taking note.

The only one I know is Brian Atlas of The Whatever Podcast. He’s dipped his toe into debates and is right leaning

Do you really have to do this? Do we have to go deeper into the pit of content that pretends to be about discussion or learning or exposition of ideas but is actually just sensationalist nonsense drooling for clicks and superchat donations? We don't have to live this way. We could build platforms that are meaningful and add value to the world.

Modern-Day Debate
Las Angeles, CA is where we will film our first recording of our upcoming 'Outnumbered' series this summer. In the first episode, 2 popular left-leaning, atheist/agnostic content creators will be challenged by panelists similar to Jubilee's 'Surrounded' series. If you are politically-right leaning and/or religious and in the LA area (or willing to make the drive), please contact moderndaydebate@gmail.com as I'm currently attempting to compile a list of potential participants.
Thank you and we're excited about this new project!
James
PS - I don't know of any right-leaning content creators in the LA area but would love name suggestions if you know of any who might enjoy participating.
