So it loops back to the beginning, March 13th, 1997, the day WWF Monday Night Raw became RAW IS WAR! The day the federation grew a backbone and got a little bit edgy. The campaign didn't debut until November but from March to August is mere months of a once beloved hero snapping and denouncing the United States, a heartbreak kid becoming a full degenerate, a half-Samoan Fed up with the people chanting that he sucks and that he should die decided to join a black power group to prove the people wrong and a rattlesnake of a man becoming the voice of every working middle class citizen in America. Welcome to the beginning of the Attitude Era, The World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment's 2nd and last Golden era.

I always liked the "Get the F out" marketing slogan but man did I always hate the name change. And it got worse over the years with that whole WWE universe garbage that I still never heard anyone say in actual conversations. I would eventually drop WWE in 2011 and been a former fan since watching old clips and matches when feeling nostalgic

Didn't they also retire the Hardcore belt that night? I remember the opening. There was a dude shaping some bushes into the WWF logo and he sliced off the F. Then I think, if i remember correctly, they had one final hardcore championship match which RVD won and they retired the belt.
