Just updating this post to lyk it works with all entities and containers now (and entity containers) i.e. it'll try and break down entities into item form (like golems, armour stands, gear on mobs), and search for items inside containers and entities to add to the total!

It’d be neat if you could count only certain regions within the schematic, so like you could take a schematic for a storage system for example and measure out how many blocks you need for a single slice. Or if you could do the opposite and subtract a region from a whole schematic, like if you’ve already built or don’t plan on building a part of a farm you could remove that from your calculations

G'day everyone,
So I've been working on this program for the last couple days that calculates the raw materials required for a project, from a schematic file, and I've just cobbled together this tutorial video for it.
If you have any feedback or ideas for the program, please let me know and I'll include them in the explanation video for this as its design is quite fascinating.
