Maybe both could work together. The dragons sfx could be played. The dragons would still have their normal sfx, but used when the dragons don't communicate with other characters, or just depending on the character's emotions or scene. Kind of like Tarzan's animals being able to talk but still have their usual sfx (This is the only film I could think of to kinda make my statement understandable)

Oooh it's really hard to choose...I like the current effects but voice acting would be SO COOL, maybe there could be two versions, on with what you currently have and then the normal version?

Voice acting seems nice but the thing is you’d have to get good voice actors or maybe do them yourself which would probably add to the work and/or cost. In plus I think text is more… interesting and kinda keeps your attention better! But honestly do what gets the most votes because that would be what your viewers want.
