Yeah does depend on what type of chicken. Breast here in the UK is typically double that of thigh. You can get a kilo of chicken thighs for less than £5 so around $6.30

Price depends on the type of the chicken - broiler vs free range vs country, with bones vs boneless and probably other factors as well. Typically, broiler with bones costs around 3$ per kg in India.

In Uganda 🇺🇬 , the quoted price is for the more expensive, tastier indigenous chicken or organic chicken - the ‘original chicken’ . The modern fattened KFC-type chicken goes for about 3-4 USD per kg

What type of chicken meat? Are we talking breast? Or a whole chicken? Because chicken in Australia is about $12 (AUD) breast and a cooked roast chicken is $12 to $13.
