You guys are falling into this trap. You don’t get what I’m saying. I’m not saying to save your country or to not do important things. I’m saying to have a sense of humor and be able to not worry too much.

Choosing to take life seriously and choosing to be happy are not mutually exclusive.

Not caring about anything is also a way that people have of becoming nihilistic. The right way is to actually take things in your umbrella seriously, as the law of chill vibes states, but additionally, taking things in good sport and being optimistic. Most people don't have an ounce of faith in themselves and the world, so they either turn into anxiety balls who think the world is collapsing and they're gonna die, or nihilists who don't care about nothing and stay drifting on the shores of life. But if you're optimistic, and dream big, things just fit into place and you can navigate life with a smile. Cultivate your faith in things, people, it's more important than you will ever realise.

Apathy is NOT the answer. Neither is anxiety about everything.

This is by far the most important lesson my dad taught me before going out into the wide world. Can't begin to imagine the amount of stress, pain, and anguish I've avoided by happily accepting and working within my small zone of control. Thanks, Dad.

Spite is my mechanism. I hate the system and the system hates me astronomically more, but I will persist, because I hate it that much.

To not take things seriously is to throw away the value of Life’s joys and sorrows. I walk the path of thorns knowing that I pay the price for achieving my desires.

Touching death is a perspective changer. I've been blacked out by getting hit by 480 volts (collapsing to the ground broke my connection), and I fought and defeated cancer. Realizing how ephemeral life is is its own blessing. You are a younger man than me, but you are right.

I can’t stop being angry at this world 24/7. Everything is awful and we were robbed of our future. Our anger and hate is righteous.

Manmade horrors beyond comprehension. We are literally not evolved to deal with whats happening right now. That being said I do think people are in their heads too much. Human connection is the answer. Individuals are awesome

'Choose to be happy.' That's very easy to say. It's hard to do. Kinda like when you tell someone to calm down or relax. They will when they can. Not from a breezy external exhortation.

“Choose to be happy” is one of the most naive things I’ve ever heard.

Why do you guys take life so seriously? You control some things in your life but not most. You are powerless against a cruel world. You could die tmw from a heart attack and not be able to stop it. You could be shot by a thug. So why not choose to be happy? Let the fear of death encourage you to live and win. Laugh. Don’t take things seriously and then attain your goals. If things happen they do. Don’t worry so much. I know this is hard to do but you gradually get used to it as time passes.
