RcDungeon has one and did a really nice scale build with it. I’ve kinda been eyeing one of the 1/18 scale trucks but keep putting it off.

I got a few myself they got a place somewhere in the hobby definitely needs upgrading and a lot of TLC I would say they are a good starter for the ones that want to learn basics in depth without wasting a lot of money

I think most people would agree that WPL have greatly improved the quality of their products since they began with those 1:16 military trucks. I'm glad you're giving them a second chance.

Hey Brent, I’ve done a couple of WPL kits. I tend to go for the upgrades of the metal components etc…as the base models are really aimed at the beginners. The metal versions / upgrades make them really good fun to tinker with at good value. If you go for the metal axles, they do need a little adjustment using the paper gaskets to line the gearing correctly. I’ve a Toyota truck with the 2 speed gearbox, open metal axles, metal links all round. The all metal gears in the central gearbox can be noisy, so I kept the plastic ones in, it’s a fun little truck, but they do need to be upgraded for us more series RC’ers 😉hope that helps 😉

Yep, I bought one as soon as I had watched Tomley's video. Once it had arrived and I took it for a trail test, I decided it is pretty damn good. And it's not like it was the same size as a 1/12 scale land Rover like I'd imagined!!!! I started RC racing back in the 80s and have had always had a few cars, buggies and trucks ever since. If you're not a bid kid, become one as soon as you can!
