I'm a civilian but my dad installed ejection seats in the Marines, my maternal uncle was also in the Marines with him, which is how my mom met my dad. I also had 2 paternal uncles who served, as well as my paternal grandfather. He was in the Air Force for 2 years and then became a state police officer. One paternal uncle was a submarine communications officer in the Navy and the other paternal uncle was a Blackhawk pilot for the Army medical. My dad and maternal uncle served at the end of Vietnam, and 2 paternal uncles served during Operation Desert Storm, and the Blackhawk pilot was involved in Grenada and he had a lot of buddies who sadly were killed during Operation Gothic Serpent.

Civilian, son of a 20-year Air Force veteran. Fascinated with military aviation since I was a kid and still am. Working for Virgin Galactic for the last 11 years and loving the aerospace industry. This channel is absolutely amazing and one of my favorites for keeping abreast of what is going on in an area I love. Thank you to all who are serving, those who have served, and those who paid the ultimate price for the life and liberty we so freely take for granted.

Kids who grew up on military bases tend to like Sandboxx. It's nostalgic for a guy who enjoyed playing on the tarmac and climbing inside the helicopters on Saturday with my buddies.

Love your content Alex! It's a great time for me to say I'm a civilian but I've been surrounded by military my whole life. A lot of my friends went into the military right out of high school while I went straight into blue collar work. I worked at a company where my main job was to test and repair programmable logic controllers (PLC's) for a company based out of New Jersey. During my time there, our company sold quite a few logic systems to military branches across the states. It was interesting seeing what they were buying. Fast forward 8 years and I landed a job working on industrial air compressors. I was fascinated by how many industries used them (spoiler, almost every company that "makes" something uses one). We had contracts with autobody shops, sewing factories, large farms, name brand produce companies, paper making companies, prisons, you name it! But the ones that stuck out were... Military bases and sub-contracted military manufacturing shops! I've seen parts made for planes, ships, helicopters, etc. Those small mom and pop shop machining or forging companies are dotted all around the Tri-State area and they're all manufacturing something different. And as I said, I've had the privilege of going to a few high profile military bases to perform work. So naturally, I've always been interested in military tech (tech in general) and your videos are always one of the highlights of my day! Keep up the great work!!!
