Mya's whiskers twitched in the cold morning air, as she tried to pick up the different scents coming from the inside through an open window. The humans had been busy: not only had they been putting up dead fir branches and frilly paper ornaments, but they suddenly seemed to had developed a fondness of the three same colors: red, white, blue. If only pine trees had come in these three colors, the humans would have been very happy indeed.
Now, Mya couldn't care less about pine, unless it housed some birds, nor was she particularly inclined to have a favorite color, let alone three. What did caught her attention though were the delicious aromas of mince pies, slow-roasting chickens and coronation bakes.
Now to call a cat a thief was a gross overstatement. After all, cats have no sense of ownership and since most things can only keep their attention for about several minutes, they had a natural sharing nature. This is why what is yours, is theirs, by default, and you should never call a cat a thief.
With a single, athletic jump, Mya now balanced on the window sill, peering inside. The humans had indeed been busy and the kitchen was in absolute disarray...
