Going to write a public statement about this here, I've decided after a few years being a part of the Mysterious House Archive Discord server to leave it for good. The reasoning for this is because a member of the server, Shane, has been breaking the rules of the server and harassed a friend of mine yet continues to be kept in the server. When we tried to ban him, the owner kept inviting him back and ended up giving him higher permissions so we couldn't do anything. His reasoning for this is that Shane is the co-founder of the server but that's not a good excuse, it is HORRIBLE to give one user special treatment due to personal relationships and let him walk all over us while he posts about wanting to see the main character in a group of "juice" hating people ran by a well-known Austrian painter. You know what I mean beyond that algorithm censorship speak. What Shane has been doing is horrible and if he's going to be kept there I have simply felt too uncomfortable to be there.
Along with this, I have asked the owner to personally remove all my artwork and videos from the archive. It absolutely stank, I loved the feeling that I was making an impact on a community I loved and still to this day love, but I don't want any of my work to be showcased on a server I feel uncomfortable having it in.
If Shane ever gets banned for good, I will rejoin and allow my work to be archived there again. But for now, I recommend you avoid the server. It is not a safe community space at the moment especially now that it is down two moderators.
