Overall it depends on the build and space in vehical. One 12 seems to be the most common I see on single sub installs.

Traditionally it was 12's. If we get into more specifics then they go smaller or larger depending on what your looking to get out of your music.

If it was for a dj set up I'd say 18 inch because they are loud and go low. 12inch has better overall sound I feel;especially for faster bass beats.

I love my 2 12s so if i went to single id have to move up to a 15 or 18 i just feel like it wouldnt be the same lol

I ran a single 10” for the longest so….. thats what popped in my mind lol….. now i got 4 18’s on 15k 😂
