A Pinch of Patience

2025 garden season is officially underway with the first seedlings of the season! I grow cabbage every year... every year I read/watch how to make cabbage happy, and every year I grow mediocre cabbages πŸ˜‚ oh well, I keep trying because they are one of my favorites. What do you struggle with but still grow?

Tomatoes! Ugh! We have very high pest pressure in our area but I refuse to give up! πŸ˜‚

I have been struggling with tomatoes and cucumbers, but my cucumbers are looking promising this year, I'm growing in pots this time. I'm in North Queensland Australia

Our cucumbers just germinated this morning! Arugula hit early for us, so did cherry tomatoes. My wife made a soil mix with pear moss, coconut coir and vermiculite and it’s amazing. We used to struggle so bad until we started with her mix because of how much clay we have in KY.

I struggle with growing lettuce because the bunnies eat it. I now have lettuce growing on an elevated planter. "Those rascally rabbits" 🐰🀣 Have a blessed Easter with your family with lots of love. πŸ™πŸ©·

Cabbage also. Here lately also squash because of come borers and squash bugs. I don't remember having them 10 years ago
