Bekky 2ks

What's up everyone! Hope all is well with everyone. Part of my new years resolutions was to provide my family with the freshest food I possibly could. I'm not a fan of added chemicals to my food and especially not to my baby girls food. I uploaded a video in January about it. I was recently in the hospital for a stay. I had to have surgery and had a piccline inserted in my arm for weeks and had to have IV antibiotics. All because of bacteria from my food which likely was on my chicken or my lettuce according to the infectious disease doctors that took care of me. I've always loved the earth, and plants and animals and my house plants are great. But, uve never grown herbs. Let alone vegetables. My stay at the hoapital due to bacteria that likely came from where it was sourced from, ooened my eyes even more and lit i fire under me to finally start my journey. On August 2nd I sowed these. In the clear container is Basil, and the clay is oregano. Signs of life in just a few short days and I'm excited(rosemary and sage are taking a while but they will koin them soon im syre). I've been having my baby girl help me sow and water these every morning and it's teaching her so much responsibility and how to be gentle as well as helping her learn about agriculture and how to nurture the plants that give us food. In the beginning of August (although I started late lol) we planted some potatoes. I noticed today they have some strong roots. I just hope that I get a decent harvest. And just the other day, we planted Romaine lettuce and will be planting buttercrunch soon. I just need some time to do it.

Happy Friday! Are you all starting anything new?
