"Keeping in mind that YouTube is where dreams go to die, I'll contain my enthusiasm" nailed it; its important that the ones that support you do it greately, and you may not need anything else

I’ve been following your channel for quite a while now and listen to your music frequently while studying and drawing! Me and many others think that your compositions are inspiring and truly amazing. I’m very sorry to hear about how crushing YouTube can be as a platform, but please take it easy and keep pushing on, your fans are always here to cheer for you!!! :)

Love to see your content my guy, I think it's hard with YouTube because it appeals to the majority all the time... Like the algorithms and what YouTube promotes end up always being similar to each other, while I feel like yours and other similar YouTubers content appeals to the rest of us who like to see different things. It's hard to make it work, but we are always happy to see it! The family and I will be here no matter what 😊💪

I can’t wait for the next orchestral arrangement! I hope you do more after that as well. Do you think the release of Nintendo music might have affected you on Spotify as well?

I've heard from plenty of youtubers big and small that something in the algorithm apparently changed last year and their views seem to have completely tanked and no one is sure why, but something definitely changed in how youtube decides to give exposure to certain channels over others Here's hoping your channel can find a way to get back on track, i always liked lurking your livestreams in the past and listen to you talking about soundtracks you're listening to for the first time

It's disappointing that you aren't seeing the growth you wanted. I do think that the growth is coming, since you've composed for a few games now, in addition to your uploads here and to streaming, so there are other places where your music will be exposed to people, and so they'll seek you out. I hope we see an uptick in growth for you, so our army of Tim supporters swells in numbers! 🎺

They're provably returning to pre pandemic levels because life goes on. You have your core audience, maybe some new faces, but people just don't have the time to spare anymore with life and work. Twas to be expected, and the norm for probably 95+% of channels

Tim de Man - Game Music
**Channel Update!**
Hi everyone! This kind of post usually goes to Patreon, but this time I'd like to tell all my listeners about what's going on with the channel and what I've been doing.
As work on original game music soundtracks has wound down for now, I'm finding myself with more time to invest into the channel again. Unfortunately, for the past 1.5 years the channel hasn't been doing great - views overall are down substantially. I've tried quite a few different things to fix this - video essays about game music, original material, back to piano arranging, Celtic stuff etc. - but nothing has revitalised the channel. The main thing that felt rewarding on YouTube last year was doing live streams, mainly to have some more direct contact with you all.
Most Zeldatubers have felt something like this happen after Tears of the Kingdom came out, but still it's hard to pin down why the channel overall is back to **pre-pandemic levels**, a far cry from the kind of growth I was hoping The Sequel to Breath of the Wild would bring. Alas.
Fortunately, the much more stable Spotify and Patreon have kept this channel going, and I'm eternally grateful to everyone on YouTube and other platforms for listening to my silly stuff!
In an effort to find a broader audience and flex the skills I've developed while composing for CLOUDHEIM, GUILD SAGA and SOUL STALKER, I've tried the big orchestral thing with Colgera. Keeping in mind that YouTube is where dreams go to die, I'll contain my enthusiasm, but it's been doing really well... Comparatively, it's doing amazingly well even.
So I'm working on another big orchestral thing that will hit the channel as soon as Colgera has run it's course. It might hit Patreon earlier!
I'm even happier with the new orchestral arrangement than I was with Colgera... It's a track I've wanted to give a full treatment for some time and it's turning out to be a real banger! 🐫
Anyways, thank you so much for listening to my work, and hope you'll enjoy what's ahead.
Cheers,
Tim
