LOL Thank you! The film makes it appear as though they are heat damaged. I thought maybe I'd not caught the package soon enough. They are absolutely adorable. Love!

I was concerned for longer than I'd like to admit because I recently started keeping slugs again and thought "... Nobody told me I had to peel them???" To be fair to me the picture didn't load 😂

Hey, so this is totally random but while I was out & about last weekend, I stopped into this garden store here in Portland(Oregon, US) which specialized in native plants and products made by small, local and /or women owned businesses. There were the obvious garden-oriented products but they also stocked a lot of hand-made gift-type items: stickers, magnets, pins, candles. I saw some absolutely adorable earrings which were handmade, dangly, and incredibly lightweight & immediately thought of you. So, If you’re aware of the fact that it’s odd to see something cool and have your only thought be “wow- I bet someone on the other side of the world who doesn’t know I even exist would like these” is that better or worse?? Actually, they were so lightweight because they were made of needle-felted wool and you’re vegan which slipped my mind so Nevermind, I guess?? Though, Given the type of store it was in the type of town, this is, there’s a very good chance that the wool was sustainably and ethically sourced and Perhaps even recycled?? Not to be preachy but sheep do need to be sheared once a year simply to keep them from becoming encumbered & possibly immobilized by their own overgrown coats, the lanolin it contains and all of the dirt, bugs, poo, sticks and heaven only knows what else which get caught in their wooly coats!! Unless we as a society do away with the practice of keeping sheep entirely, and let them go extinct, (and there are radical animal libbers who would do away with domesticated animals as a concept full stop) the bleating, bucolic wee buggers will need the annual blitz-attack strong-arm buzz-cut. Not wanting to wear Fur is one thing but harvesting wool is a beneficial inconvenience to the animal. Anyway. Lecture over. Cherries- the earrings were shaped like a pair of cherries on long, gold, stems.
