Adventure Elliot

To the people who loved my Cuba series - I have a special surprise for you. Before my Cuba series I had a chance to go to Spain's most remote and sparsely populated island - El Hierro. Hardly anyone travels there because the Canary Islands have converted into Europe's playground of debauchery and "cheap" holidays. However, this tiny island has a fascinating history and at certain points, almost 2/3rds of the entire population fled poverty for a better life in Cuba and Venezuela, many of whom were never able to return home. Imagine fleeing the poverty and hunger of 1 island only to be trapped in another dictatorship. I swear, that generation was the most unlucky in the history of Spain.

Anyways, the Spanish spoken on this island uses many of the same words as they use in Cuba/Venezuela and almost everyone that still remains on the island has some sort of connection to Cuba and Venezuela. For some reason when I published it, it got extremely low views since nobody seems to care about these historical topics. I've since decided to put it back on public to see if algorithm will boost it a bit.

Tomorrow I'm back off to the America's, and I'll keep the countries a surprise for now. Have a great October, and special thanks to the people of Ireland and the UK for the fun travels this summer.

Best,

Elliot
