Haven’t started playing yet. Bought the game but I never finished BOTW so I’m trying to do that first but it’s taking forever because I’m somewhat of a completionist and I want to get at least the majority of the shrines but I’ve only found like 50 of them so far and I don’t want to resort to guides because that would be boring but I also really want to play TOTK so yea

The addiction is real! The fear of falling from any of the sky islands is real too, and jumping off one really gives you that weightlesness feeling that you experience in a rollercoaster too. The game is dark, much darker than the previous games and the underground gives me the chills. I died at least 50 times before I actually got a little more steady with the game and thats what i loved about BotW too: its finally more difficult again and in a way they steer you to follow the main storyline if you want to play it a bit easier. The music is well made. I love it how you can have quests completed before you actually get them, and that the dialogue changes to the fact that you’ve already executed them! That’s a big win!! The only thing I do wonder is why this has taken 6 years to develop, as indeed it is much like BotW and you wouldnt say this wouldve needed so long…

No, it's an improvement from Breath of the Wild but it's still a really bad game. They've thrown away everything that made the Zelda series fun and unique for the sake of mass appeal. It's just a physics sandbox without any actually interesting or fun design in it.

I haven't been able to play much, but so far... not really? The combat still sucks, and the whole opening has been the biggest slog I've ever experienced in a video game. And it's not even over! First thing that happens when I get to the surface is Purah tells me to run to the castle, where I get a 10 second cutscene of Zelda popping up for a second before I'm told to run back to Purah. Like aargh, when is the actual game going to start? This shit makes the opening of Kingdom Hearts II look well-paced.
