My mother works in Memphis & has told me many stories. I am glad the thugs & criminal activity will be dwindling. I wish for her safety.

When my then fiancé and I visited Memphis in 2018, we went to Graceland. A police officer stopped us as soon as we got out of the car because they noticed our car was full of stuff. They recommended we drop all of our stuff off in a hotel before we park there because it was virtually guaranteed that someone would break in and steal everything we own. In the Graceland parking lot! We ended up not going to Graceland and cancelled our other 2 nights in Memphis, opting to drive 6 hours back to Knoxville to stay in a much nicer city.
