I've been very consistent for about 5 years now, doing 3-5 workouts per week, barely ever missing a week where I didn't do at least 2. What works for me: always do exercise that you enjoy doing, that give you a good feeling, that aren't boring, or feel like a chore. Switch it up if it starts happening. Keep it fresh and interesting, add variety and try new exercises that excite you. And also follow rule number 1: injuries suck, dont get injured. So warm up, don't push through pain and do painless blood flow lightweight exercises if some part is hurting. Results will come if you're pushing hard enough, rest and eat enough. The first months you ever workout are the hardest, because it's the first time you're putting effort and you haven't yet seen that it takes time, but they will come. Just keep at it.

Sometimes it’s a case of perfection becoming the enemy of progress. The hardest part of a routine is generally getting started. For me, my workout phases in life have generally been coupled with healthy/mindful eating. I get really happy that I’m taking care of myself and fall into a comfortable daily routine. However, if I skip a day, or have a bit of a lapse, the whole house of cards generally comes tumbling down. Currently trying to convince myself into a healthier mindset and get back into a routine that I can enjoy, even if I take breaks or don’t do it to perfection.

No struggle at 66. You must manage recovery well (nutrition + sleep). 100% plant-based is my secret at 66.

The challenge for me is being able to reboot/continue after breaking the habit

I feel like I've hit a plateau. I've tried cutting and bulking, but neither works. I've maxed out waht few machines my apartment gym has. More reps don't seem to be doing much for me. Haven't seen progress in around half a year. Im losing motivation.

I get tons of emails from people who say their biggest struggle is CONSISTENCY.
What is the reason YOU struggle with consistency?
I only have the ability to put 4 options here... but I know there's many more reasons than this. I'd love to hear you put it in your own words in a comment below!
