We just wanted to pause and update you since many of you were there with us during the 100k live show on August 14th when Alyssa started having contractions.
At 1:59am on August 15th, our sweet boy Elijah Griffin was born 7 lbs 3 oz of pure love.
It’s been an emotional couple of days. Eli’s temperature was low when he was born, so the doctors admitted him to the NICU for closer monitoring. They noticed his lungs are small and filled with fluid, so right now he’s receiving oxygen support while his body works hard to adjust. He’s also learning how to eat and is getting a little extra help with that.
The doctors are running some additional tests, including on his heart and for possible Down syndrome, but we don’t have answers yet. The good news is Eli had a better night, and they’ve already been able to lower his oxygen levels. 🙏
We’re mentally and physically wiped out, but beyond grateful for the amazing NICU team and for all of you sending love and prayers our way. We’ll keep you posted, but for now, no new video today, just focusing on our boy.
Thank you for understanding, and for being part of this journey with us. Here are a few photos so you can meet Eli too. 💙
