But beneath the surface, a darker reality emerges. Excessive usage of technology can interfere with an individual's daily activities such as school, work, and social interactions, leading to issues like poor academic performance, and strained relationships resulting in depression and in some cases suicide. In This video context, one can witness how technology has significantly impacted modern society, bringing both blessings and curses. Today's generation has become so advanced that people are now using Metaverse Technology. It represents a significant evolution in digital interaction, merging virtual and augmented realities to create immersive, shared virtual environments where users can meet, interact, and collaborate regardless of geographical barriers. But with the immense use of VR/ Metaverse technology, people will be more vulnerable to depression. An individual cant escape from technology but one must balance their digital lives with real-world connections, engage in outdoor activities, face-to-face conversations, and mindfulness healthier practices to avoid depression. Gaming apps : various psychological and designed strategies to capture and retain the attention of users making it more engaging and addictive. Continuous engagement and reward systems can lead to psychological dependence, where gamers feel compelled to play even when it negatively impacts their lives. 2. Credit Card Loan app: A youngster can take a personal loan or any credit card without any income proof which results in harassment from banks due to no recovery of payment on time. 3. Dating Apps: Multiple dating & rejections in a relationship lead to depression. Suppression of Women's rights and less acceptance of sexuality leads to suicide Dr has expressed concern over the increasing emphasis on materialism and digital presence, which he believes is contributing to widespread dissatisfaction and societal imbalance.
