SilSinn9801/Silent Sinner In Scarlet

With my computer’s power supply (PSU) finally properly replaced (partially thanks to the two people who donated to my Ko-fi, even though I just asked to be commissioned rather than donated to, but at least any kind of help is still hellp & is thus greatly appreciated), pre-production of my next musical project has started. Or at least the musical part of the pre-production process has started, because the visual part of pre-production (procuring the pixel arts out of two previously-commed artists) was completed last week (it took a little more than three months to achieve this).

Please note, however, that this new project is not from the preliminary outline I had published here when this year started: youtube.com/post/UgkxFLdgx3ZqTDNP8ZeOHNX9uj0AI-GPH…
The last two projects listed on that checklist –an inspirational Spanish-language ballad song, & the title song of a classic live-action children’s TV show– have been cancelled because their respective silver (25th) & ruby (40th) anniversaries have been missed –thanks to AL052024 a.k.a. 05L Ernesto, & to that exploding PSU as well as the third one that followed it in doing the same to me, for keeping my PC offline for more than two months & thus ruining my production & upload schedule–; also, I had plans to cover the theme of a specific Hanna-Barbera cartoon (not listed on my outline, as the idea popped up after the fact) that was also observing its ruby anniv. this summer, but that too got scrapped because of said problems above).

Instead, this is a brand-new project that wasn’t envisioned in my initial plans because it spontaneously spawned up as soon as a specific anime debuted this summer & captivated me with its songs. Also no, this anime was neither Mayonaka Punch (even though I like Ichiko, as listening to her is pretty much like listening to Zundamon) nor My Deer Friend Nokotan (which I haven’t watched at all, even though Miku’s VA is there), so the next music project is completely unrelated to those animes. While I will not provide any further specifics about the origin anime song that I will be covering before this year ends, I can say that this next PC-9821 version will be done using the same FM instruments & macro-heavy programming style as last year’s PC-9821 version of Hirogaru Sky Pretty Cure ~ Hero Girls (hopefully the source code does not blow up to a nearly-uncompilable ~60-kB size like Hero Girls did) & that two of the pixel artists who provided arts for Hero Girls have reprised their artistic roles here (no, I will not spoil here the anime-specific sprites they finished for this project, not even in silhouette form). However, unlike Hero Girls, this will not use Synthesizer V Studio vocals, instead it will be a 100% VOCALOID project, with MEIKA Hime & Mikoto –a pair of V5 voicebanks I had acquired last spring to be used on my V6 Editor– chosen to lead the vocals (although I would like to show here the MEIKAs’ PC-98-style sprites, I first want to wait for GabrielZr0 to publish them on his socials).

So, hoping that my fourth PSU does not again blow up like its predecessors did (& hoping for no more power blackouts this year), please wish me luck on this…

Also, I want to run a poll here for you peoples: I have several other scrapped or put-on-hold projects (apart from those cancelled this year) that I could not finish back then because their target anniversaries were missed (largely either because their origin songs proved difficult or impossible to transcribe or because certain existential threats –like a certain problematic Gachatuber that will not be named here– that were bullying, harassing, &/or intimidating some of my subscribers needed to be taken care of & demanded my full attention & time in order to report them to the pertinent authorities). If I get to finish my next PC-9821 project this year & still get enough time to do another one before Christmas, which one below do you think deserves a second chance at being made (even if it doesn’t coincide anymore with its target anniversary)? Please note, however, that such a second chance may not be guaranteed (especially if no stems or MIDI reference exists for it to speed up its production).
