Daily Insight

Perhaps there's something to the Australian Government's UK travel warning. An 11-year-old Australian girl was allegedly approached by a 32-year-old man, Ioan Pintaru (a Romanian citizen with no fixed address) in Leicester Square, placed into a headlock, and then stabbed eight times. Mr Pintaru was detained by members of the public and was found with a “steak knife". A nearby security guard, Abdullah, “heard a scream” before tackling the alleged offender to the ground. The victim, who was a tourist visiting the popular area with her mother, was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries to the face, shoulder, wrist and neck area. It is understood she will require plastic surgery for the injuries that she’s sustained.

The UK is such a mess right now with its continued Blairite policies regarding mass immigration and multiculturalism, something I'm sure the Australian government is working very hard to replicate with its current Big Australia plans that no Australian ever asked for - as always.

One of the greatest dangers of open borders is it allows other countries to export their social problems rather than having to solve them. Why spend money and resources on criminals, homeless, and people with mental illnesses when you can send them to another country and let them become someone else’s problem? And if you think that sounds crazy, think about what the Governor’s of Texas and Florida started doing with the “asylum seekers”. While their intent was to make a point, the end result is the same.

Stop this happening to Australia.

This is tragic. I hope she can forget this somehow. It was almost a right of passage for young Australians to travel to England and /or Europe. There is no way I would do so now nor would I encourage my children to, no way.

@stephenbachman132

The girl was a Australian. That actually makes me mad. I don't know what is worse the Woke British embarrassment of a Sharia Law government. Or the people doing these crimes. They are both copuble for these crimes.

As a Aussie contemplating my first visit to the UK, I'm having serious misgivings about it now & wonder if the place will ever be safe to visit.

Per the website "Avoid areas where protests are occurring due to the potential for disruption and violence. Monitor the media for information and updates. Follow the instructions of local authorities. ... We advise: Exercise a high degree of caution in the UK due to the threat of terrorism." Also avoid areas where no protests are occurring. That said, best wishes for a full recovery.

@adamaccountname

Yeah, there's security issues, but not for the reasons they claim. Eg the peaceful people have been attacking people for months over a fictional country

Imagine that, “Abdullah” saved the life of an Australian girl from the murderous intent of a Romanian. I wonder how many uk hooligans heads will explode trying to make sense of that?
