First things first... thanks to our upstairs neighbour leaving rubbish bags outside his door, we ended up having (and still _have_ ) a rat problem. So that's been eating into my grieving time.
On an equally annoying note, things have been slow again because of our ISP. For whatever reason, the connection strength since August has been abysmal. So any oppurtunity to do videos with scheduled uploads has been... small, to say the least.
But that's enough of the negatives. Let's get into the serious talk. As I mentioned in my Discord server, I have a few changes of plan going into 2026.
The first of which is recording new demo material as XJ. So expect more garbage instrumental covers of songs. I've been coming up with shit tons of guitar riffs and, now that I have a bass guitar, I can finish that one christmas song. _You know the one_
The next thing is regarding the state of the Video Game Championships. After deciding to abandon the F1 2003 season as the focus for next year, we're now going to make it an entirely ficitious as a concept F1 2026. And expect some familiar names to show up over the course of next season.
But now comes the bad part.
I've been putting together the Video Game Championships initially as a way to mock the gatekeepers by incouding practice sessions and test days and such, alongside the actual races themselves. But when you do that same joke for 6 years (the project was officially launched in April 2021), it stops being funny.
So I'm announcing that the 2026 Video Game Championships will be the last _planned_ season.
In its place of putting effort into it, I've been putting together a far more ambitious project; The Road Thru F1, where I start a game with Go-Karts, work my way up to the junior categories, and then go through F1 in videogame form from 1995-2013. And maybe 2020 as well.
But later this month, I will make a full return to YouTube. Starting with a lookback video. So thank you, everyone. And thanks for 1 year of BurnBot TV!
