The Little Shaman: On Narcissists

Right?

@25centsworth

They want the seat at the head of the table, the one with no responsibility, delagates everything, takes all the credit and none of the blame.

But they'll tell you they are the table, the house and the chairs. There is no party without a narcissist, only there is and it's actually fun because they're not there. 🤣

My friend, narcissists will take something not bring something

I actually said that to my vulnerably narcissistic elderly mom. She complained she was being left out of decision making and I said if you want to be part of the decision making you need to come to the table. If there is a problem that actually needs solving, not just empathy, she complains, complains and complains, in an accusatory tone, literally never ever offering a solution. And then says no to every solution and acts like she is being victimized if she is offered solutions. She uses this automatic, reflexive no to literally everything, to control other people and frustrate them, to get a rise out of them - and absurdly, to make them the bad guy. She loves the power this denying and stalling offers her so much that she is willing to put up with the discomfort that the problem is causing. When I told her she needs to come to the table, for once she did not go straight into the victim mode and use her favourite phrase she uses in even the tiniest disagreements, "the blameless is being blamed". I usually never confront her, I gray rock as much as I can, but I was just so fed up. And surprised that saying things like they were did not this time lead to the usual melt down. Maybe even she could not deny it.

They just do not sit at any table, they demand the throne. Always.

They are "takers". Self absorbed takers...

It's sickening how selfish they are. Such bizarre people

Which is why they steal, kill and destroy everything in their path. They try to wear other people’s skin suit and life, pretend that it’s them, but there’s nothing behind it. Then they get mad and going to a rage tantrum when they are exposed in the mirror of emptiness…

Extremely true

But they do bring something to the table, a lot of garbage and drama. Trouble is, it can take quite a while to work out that's what they are offering.
