Update: Our power came on much sooner than anticipated! Many of my surrounding neighbors are still without power, but my road was a quicker repair than expected. Thank you all for the well wishes and kind words. It may still be a bit before posting any new videos as I catch up on all the things. Most of all, I'm grateful my loved ones and I are safe. So many have lost so much more, and my heart breaks for their suffering. As we reflect on the tragedy and devastation, let's take this as a reminder to show kindness and care for our neighbors.
I think of the passage in Luke 10:25-37 where Jesus shares a parable to illustrate what it means to love our neighbors as ourselves. When asked "who is my neighbor?", Jesus leads his listeners to the conclusion that "the one who showed mercy" proved himself to be a neighbor. Let us go and do the same. ❤️
