I like it. It's funny to witness Edward act so uncharacteristically hostile towards someone. I guess that makes me just as evil as he is in this episode.

I've rewatched the entire series from season 1 to season 24 and the movies in release order. I started this since October 9th, 2024 because it was the shows 40th anniversary, and then when 2025 came with the 80th anniversary, I finished the series on May 12th 2025, I thought it was all a perfect run. And YES, I sat through all 500+ episodes, some bad ones, some ok ones, some great ones, even some hidden gems, the Classic era filled me with joy, the HiT era made me sleepy, the Nitrogen era made me pissed, the Brenner era also filled me with joy, and the BWBA era also made me pissed. I did all of this for Wilbert Awdry, Britt Allcroft, and David Mitton, and in the end, I still love this show and I always will.

I wish this episode was just Edward's dream or James disguised as Edward. Even as a 5/6/7-year-old watching "Edward Strikes Out" on Jim Jam for the first time, I got an odd feeling about it. I remember my younger self thinking "Why is Edward so mean to Rocky? He's usually really nice."
