$1,299 for a Marlin is tough to swallow. You’re getting into Roscoe money

Got my 2024 Roscoe 6 for 1200. I think the Roscoe is a better option at that price. Better frame geometry.

I bought one for my wife. Did I overpay.. yes. But, I couldn’t find any roscoes for her frame size in my area. They were nowhere and she loved the color so as long as she’s happy and we’re riding as a family it’s good. She doesn’t care about boost forks

If you buy a Marlin, you get a bike that will handle anything a city can through at you. I’ve had Marlins, and they make fantastic commuters. Roscoe is way better for anyone who wants to ride single track trails instead of city streets. I have 1 of each and that is exactly how I use them.

Would love to see a review. It's a cross-country bike! Though I'm a Roscoe owner, I would love to see how the new Marlin rides.

But still can’t put a tapered headtube to make it compatible with a wider range of aftermarket forks.

Yeah seems like good updates and yeah I'd like to see a ride review, even though I'm not looking for a new bike

I like my marlin, this has come nice features but really at 1200 it needs a thru axle

When they make it an actual thru axle I'll consider buying it. 135x5mm ThruSkew is not a thru axle 148 boost thru axle or nothing.

You can get an x-caliber for similar money with a tapered head tube. I have a 2019 marlin 7 spent $700 roughly. Great bike for dirt and pavement. For $1200 you can find a better bike in my opinion.

Matty Active
This is the NEW Trek Marlin 7 with notable features which include tubeless ready wheels and a dropper post. What do you think of this bike at $1,299?
Also, would you like a ride review of this bike?
